Apprentice 2 Finale

Watched Apprentice 2 finale yesterday. It was simply awesome. I have being watching Apprentice for almost 10 weeks now. I find it extremely inspiring and sometimes I wonder shud have I done MBA rather than a MS. However I don't regret doing MS, infact I am proud of it. I think I am among the really few who knew what they wanted to do, from a very young age...."It's not always about money"

Leaving Clemson

So I have now graduated with Masters in Computer Engineering. I have also secured a job with OPNET in Washington, DC. I am currently waiting for my work authorization card and once I get it I shall be leaving Clemson.

Clemson has been my home in the US. I remember me landing here on the 25th Dec 2002 night. I was completely confused when I had landed here. I had come here with some dreams and I think I have achieved what I had planned for during these two years of studies here. I had worked really hard as soon as I came here bcoz of which I got a scholarship and life was really smooth for me right from the first semester, since I never had to never worry about money.

Also I consider myself really lucky since I think I worked with the best research group at Clemson, the PARL (Parallel Architecture Research Lab) group. PARL has some of the most amazing set of people and I consider really lucky to work with them, especially my advisor, Walt, he is simply awesome. I was also very fortunate to work with Nathan and Phil, these guys helped me in developing my mastery over Linux. Also I made some awesome friends like Will, Mike and Louis. I hope we will always stay in touch with each other.

As far as courses go, I aced in all of them except one on Linux kernel programming. That course was the best course I had taken here and I still regret getting a B in it. But the brighter side is that I have learned a lot.

Apart from studies (the primary motivation for me coming here at Clemson) my social life was great as well. I did go out a lot with my friends in the research group but I also made some of my best friends with the desi gang. Some of my best desi pals are Ankur, Vishal (Bonda), Vipul (Bully), Pradeep, D' su, Barman (Chinku), Anup, Inder and Pamya. I had an awesome time with them. It was fun cooking, watching movies, drinking , pulling legs etc. However sometimes, some of us went overboard and really pissed of each other. But I guess thats ok between friends.

I simply can't believe I shall be leaving this place in a week or two. I definately am going to miss it alot especially the people out here. It's being an awesome and rewarding experience in true sense. Anyway thats life and I am now use to all the change, meeting and departing friends. It's ok, you have to move on and most important of all "It's all for the best"
