Good Weekend

One of my friends (Satish) from Clemson bought an awesome house (or should I say a mansion) in Cary, NC. We were at his place Saturday evening for a house warming party. Besides happy times, the best part of the evening was awesome food.

Neural Network is a powerful AI tool used for solving classification and pattern recognition problems. Have been playing with this tool using the open source library FANN.

More RAM....more speed

Added some more RAM to my (> 4 year old) laptop and the multimedia experience has improved a lot. I am planning to buy Dell XPS 1530 but am waiting for some good deal on it.

Mean Genes

I really enjoyed reading Survival of the sickest especially the last two chapters pertaining to genetics. Have been really fascinated by the Genome theory and hence have embarked on reading Mean Genes.

Survival of the sickest

Have been reading Survival of the sickest . A really good read, packed with humor and practical knowledge about genetics and disease. Some of the examples provided are really intriguing. I have read freakonomics (a really awesome read as well) and I must say "Survival of the sickest" is freakonomics applied to genetics and diseases.
