GData a revolutionary idea

I was reading about gdata and I think is a revolutionary concept. The best part about gdata seems that once you authenticate a user via his/her google account you can access all of the google apps pertaining to the user. I think this is going to change the application development landscape and web applications will be as prevelant as desktop applications when windows 95 hit the scene.
