Rang Barse!!!
Had an awesome holi weekend!!! Many thanks to Anna and Salil, who made some awesome arrangements for our marriage celebration over the week.
Tanu and me drove to Anna's place on Friday nite and the fun began as soon as we reached there. Salil was expected to reach there as well but unfortunately could not make it that nite. Tanu, Anna and me spent most of the time chit-chatting and we slept at around 4.00 am in the morning.
Next day we woke up at 11.00 am and then drove to Ashville,NC to pick up Salil there. The drive was for about two hours and it was fun with Anna, Tanu and me talking and enjoying the mountains that we drove through. We then picked up Salil at around 4 pm and went for a lunch to Ruby Tuesday. After that we drove back to Charlotte,NC talking and cracking jokes all the time. Having fun is quite obvious with Salil around. Never realized when we reached home before making a quick run at the grocery store.
The marriage party began one we reached home. We had other folks as well like Mohummad, Kelly, Mansoor and Karan. Salil was making some awesome colorful drinks, which Anna had cooked a great dinner. We were enjoying a lot, until suddenly our house opened with a bang and we heard a heavy voice "Khamosh". Tanu and me just could not believe our eyes, we had "Shatrughan Sinha" for our party and that was one of the biggest surprise of our lives. Anna had arranged for the wonderful surprise. It was fun talking with him and he was there with us almost for an hour. I couldn't believe that he was so humble to make it to our party. Truly a man of his words, he had taken a brief break from a huge party that he was attending at the Charlotte Convention Center and made a point to come down and meet us. Once he left the party continued it late night with us eating, drinking, dancing and playing colors. We finally slept at 5 am in the morning.
The next day was fun as well. We spent the day watching Anna's India pics and chit chatting in general. In the evening we all went to have some Indian chaat after which Tanu and me left back for our home sweet home.
