Tipping Point

Finished reading Tipping point by Gladwell. I really wanted to read this book but finally got it after my ex-roomy Ankur strongly recommended it to me. The book makes some really good points, however I think Freakonomics was a better read.

I have also got Outliers by Gladwell. Plan to read it next.

How to castrate a bull

Just finished reading How to castrate a bull . A very simple read. It is fun to understand the history behind NetApp and learn how Netapp developed the concept of NAS which has spawned a new billion dollar storage industry.

Outliers

Saw Michael Gladwell's interview with Fareed Zakarai on CNN and was really impressed. Hence have decided that the next book for me to read will be Outliers. However I don't know when will I get to it.

Survival of the sickest

Have been reading Survival of the sickest . A really good read, packed with humor and practical knowledge about genetics and disease. Some of the examples provided are really intriguing. I have read freakonomics (a really awesome read as well) and I must say "Survival of the sickest" is freakonomics applied to genetics and diseases.

From better to best

I am about to finish reading Marshall Goldsmith's What Got You Here Won't Get You There: How Successful People Become Even More Successful. A really amazing book, one of the best that I have read in the self improvement category. The book lays down simple rules that will enable an individual to improve his/her interpersonal skills, thereby making them all the more successful in their jobs as well as family relationships. The book really struck a cord in me.

Code Complete

Have started reading Code Complete, one of the best programming books I have come across. Really liked Steve Mcconnell's style of explaining things. Really liking this one, I bought another book of his, Rapid Developement . However it will be a while before I get to it.

Also for pleasure I have been reading George Soros's The New Paradigm for Financial Markets: The Credit Crisis of 2008 and What It Means. . An interesting read, has been OK so far, nothing great.

Soul of a new machine

I finished reading Soul of a new machine" , one of the best books I have ever read. I think the reason for me liking it so much is that I can so very much relate to the story presented in it. I think every engineer should read it especially if your are into developing new innovative products. I promise you will really love it.
